Kentucky Truck Plant (home of the Super Duty and Excursion) does not run over the weekend however; a skeleton crew of maintenance personnel and such work to keep the place in tip-top shape.

KYT works 10 hours on saturday and sunday....I work for the Logistics company that manages their entire freight network. If they weren't working they sure wouldn't have freight going in on saturday and sunday...(no other plant does) that would defeat the JIT process.

NRF worked last saturday (09-27-03) 2 shifts.

KCY and NRF will be working 16 hours on 10-11-03.

Weekends

As far as I know, none of the plants are building vehicles on Sundays. I have never worked a Sun. They would have to pay double time on Sundays and that does not happen.

I've got the Plant operating plan weekly summary right in front of me and KYT is working this Sunday (10 hours).

you mean to tell me that Ford is putting the extra extra money (double time on sundays) to get super duties and excursions built but not all the back ordered 2004 F-150s?? that seems lame to me.

In addition, Saturday overtime is scheduled at Michigan Truck, Ohio, and Norfolk on September 27.

OK...if u say so. But I think thats an old(er) (maybe week or two) report you have there. The only plant working this weekend is KYT. DBN, NRF and the others worked last weekend. Plants down the week of 10-06-03 are: St Thomas, Wixom (Tbird line only), Chicago, Wayne, and Twin Cities. Next saturday 10-11-03 KYT is working its usual saturday and sunday (or not), MTP is working, KCY, and NRF.
