X-Plan vs. Negotiated Deal
Ok, I need some advice. I negotiated a pretty good deal on a new F150 at invoice from my dealer, and now my company tells me I am eligible for X-Plan.
MSRP: $36,565 +TTL
Invoice: $31,981 (No FDAF, or gas fee), +TTL
X-Plan: ??? (I don't know how to find X-Plan price on what I ordered)
This is a 4x4 Lariat Scab with 6.5' bed. The options I got in addition to standard Lariat features are as follows:
Trailer Tow Pkg
Sliding Rear Window
3.73 LSD
35.7 Gal. Fuel Tank
Audiophile
Reverse Sensing (this was so wingn8ive would leave me alone) =]
Captain's Chairs w/ Console
Skid Plates
LT275 tires
Toreador Red w/ Black Leather Interior
so i have 2 questions:
1) can someone find out or tell me how to find out X-Plan pricing on THIS EXACT truck setup?
2) should I go with X-Plan or the deal I negotiated? are there any perks to X-Plan? I remember someone saying that X-Plan doesn't have to deal with FDAF and other fees. anyone care to explain? opinions are very welcome.
thanks in advance! I love being able to tap into such a wealthy knowledge base.

You can call your dealer and ask him what the X-Plan price is. Generally, X-Plan is just above the invoice price. So, if you negotiated invoice, I'd probably stick with that...
The more options ordered and the more expensive the vehicle, the greater the PLAN discounts. I used the A-Plan for my truck, 4x2 Lariat SCrew w/ all options except moonroof, the prices were:
STICKER 36,000.00
INVOICE 31,757.35
A/Z/D PLAN 30,401.35
X PLAN 31,767.00

X-plan would be a little over invoice price. These prices are determined by ford so there is no exact percentages to figure but I would guesstimate around 32.500. Maybe others have more exact ways of figuring but my truck confirmation came in yesterday and I figured it within about 600 bucks on D-plan which is a little under invoice, so maybe I am close.
This link gets you to ford website with X-plan prices on stock vehicles, won't let you build and price but this should get you close..
I found that x-plan on my truck was $250 more than invoice.

Another factor to figure in is the more expensive the vehicle, the better the price plan price. The more you spend=the more you get off.

Sorry, I think that the ford partner site automaticlly signed me in each time when I checked it.
If you go to www.fordpartner.com you will need your partner code from the company you work for. Then it will give you access to pricing and you can gererate your pin right there on the sight.
Also, from that web site.
This price is 4% over the Ford Employee (A-Plan) price, plus $150

My invoice price is 30613 which includes the FDAF ($295) and fuel ($52).
X-Plan is 30542.
It is pretty close to the invoice price plue the two items mentioned.
Also, with X-Plan, the dealer does not charge some of the normal fees that they may have otherwise.

yeah, i looked at the Ford Partners website and looked at lots of trucks with MSRP and X-Plan prices listed. this may be obvious, but if they had the exact truck in stock somewhere, i wouldn't be special ordering it, so I didn't find my configuration priced there.
as far as extra fees go, i the dealer and i agreed that i will be paying invoice price with NO extra fees except of course for TTL. I told him if he tries to spring fees on me last minute, he will be left with another truck to sell because I don't bull$h!t. i think he got the message loud and clear. so i think the deal that I negotiated will be better. unless there are some absolutely fantastic reasons to go with X-Plan besides price...
