Media Blitz??

According to all I'd heard and read (from Ford's site) there was going to be an absolute media blitz for the release of these trucks. I've seen a few commercials now, but frankly I'm seeing a lot more GM commercials than Ford.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes , I agree , I haven't seen near as much advertising as I thought I would. The blitz has turned into a fizzle. I see more ads trying to dump 03's than anything else.

I heard they're spending 100 million on media for the release of the new F150. I'm already seeing a lot of them.

I think Chevy's hurting on their Silverado and probably trying to react to the Ford Ads. They pretty much HAVE to step up. It's hard to believe they just released the new Silverado last year. They've got some catching up to do...

From what I've seen, most of the new F150 commercials are airing during NFL games....

Was your TV on just to watch the Sooners destroy my Alma Mater?

All the commercials I've seen have only been during NFL games as well. But that's a good demographic to target. A bunch of beer swigging males doing what males like to do. Swig beer and watch football. They nailed me like a duck in a pond on the first day of hunting season.

I like the commercial that features the Silver FX4 SuperCrew. It's cute and fun to watch my truck (OK, what my truck will be) running around silly little test bumps and whatnot.

[edit] Fixed some crummy spelling.

I agree. I have seen like 3 commercials for the 04 but all of the frenzy that was supposed to happen didnīt happen here in Al. Plus, the dealer now has a bunch of 04īs and I think that FINALLY the first scratched wedewood blue lariat screw that they got in sold after almost 4 weeks on the lot. Sure seems like Ford should be looking to see why they arenīt selling and offer some sort of incentives or rebates and soon. Just my thoughts.
