XCR440SP!!! Ford Part # help!!

You listed in the Sticky accessory thread thread that you had received "Ford" brand add-ons for the 2004 F150. Specifically molded mud flaps, Bug shield, etc. Do you have part #'s. I went to one of the largest local Ford Dealers (closest one, not who I ordered my truck from) and asked about add-ons for the 2004 F150 and the guys behind the counter (who seemed bothered that I interupted their computer games, lol) said "There are NO add-ons for the '04 yet". I did not mention the overhead bins, as I figured they were TOO BUSY to help, LOL. Thanks.

I called about a bug sheild, vent visors and a bed liner. They had all 3 in no time!

Bed liner is being installed tomorrow at noon!

Thanks,
Scott

Sorry, things are getting busy around here so I don't have the time to spend here like I have the last few weeks, but here's some part numbers.

Bug shield 4L3Z 16C900 AA

Moulded mud flaps 4L3Z 16A550 BAA (these are for a 4x4 styleside with wheel lip mouldings and are front and rear)

I installed those molded mud flaps on my 150 Lariat 4X4 with wheel moldings and took them back to the Ford Dealer. They didn't fit good, the holes didn't line up, and the mounting instructions are wrong.

jackslapp,

I know someone at Ford Accessories that would want to know more about your issues/concerns with the subject molded splash guards. Can you provide any more details about fitment etc.? Can you tell us what dealer your working with? Thanks

The mudflaps have three holes and only two line up properly with the trucks predrilled holes (the top hole and the underside hole). The kit includes two metal screws and one plug per mud flap, therefore you would need to drill a hole to mount the flaps (the instructions state do not drill). The rear flap I installed had a noticeable gap between my molding and the mudflap curve (I could get around the drilling but this was my biggest complaint.. appearance and poor fit). The front flap hits the stock running board and is not as wide as the back mud flap. My tire's tread stick out beyond the flap in the front (stock 18" Goodyear tire) and I want the flap to deflect road debris over the entire tire tread width. This kit's Ford part# is /4L3Z16A550BAA and the dealer is Lofink Motor Co. 1-877-775-6346
