Question Are any dealers waiving FDAF assessment

On previous threads some one mentioned that some dealers might be waiving FDAF assessment on special order trucks.That thread was before the new trucks started arriving.Have any of you new owners had this happen on your deal and if so how did they do it?It is difficult to understand why Ford charges their customers for their advertising. I did not buy my truck from any of their ads. Ads were not even out when most of us ordered our trucks. Any info on this would help
Thanks JJO.

I didn't pay it. It was on the invoice ($295.00) but when I objected, the dealer removed it. Ended up getting my truck at $200.00 below invoice after that!

I didn't pay it. I told my dealer I didn't want to pay any fees in addition to the invoice price except of course for tax, license, and doc fees which he has no control over. no FDAF, no first tank of gas fee, no nothing! saved me about $345.

Invoice includes FDAF and fuel charge, there is no way a dealer can "wave" it, they can absorb it, but if they are a dealer and you are a retail customer it gets paid. It is included in the invoice total.

you are right XCR, i should have written that more clearly. it is on the invoice for my order, but my sell price has those subtracted so the dealer is indeed absorbing it. thanks for the correction.

Oddly....

The fuel charge was on the invoice but the FDAF/LMDA field is
$ 00.00.

There is a note that it was "Re-invoiced prior to shipping".

Total invoiced price was $ 28,887.23 plus $ 100 = $ 28,887.23 plus title, tags and license to me.

Invoice reports A & D plan price of $ 27,842.23 and X-plan
price is $ 29,105.91 which makes Invoice + $ 100 better than X-plan?

There is a "memo price" of $ 27767 which is the invoice less dealer holdback ($ 965) and fianancing cost for dealer account ($ 155). There then is another line that suggests a cost of $ 25,105 but it is just printed without explanation.

Originally invoiced on 7/14, built on 7/17, received on 9/9.

Go figure?

Ford forgot to add FDAF to the early build F-150's, our first unit just had a new invoice show up yesterday with FDAF added. The dealer will proably absorb this on yours, they may be able to get it refunded as it was sold before the reinvoice.

I think the FDAF varies by region.
