two-tone vs monotone Lariat Screw

I just ordered a white/Arizona beige two-tone Lariat Screw 4x4 last week even though I have not seen one in person. I saw a monotone white Lariat Screw 4x4 at the dealership today and it was pretty sharp! You do get chrome bumpers with the Lariat monotone. Not having seen the two side by side I am having second thoughts about the two-tone. Does anyone else have any thoughts about two-tone vs. monotone color?

They both look sharp and I like the chrome bumbers, but, this truck is so big and flat sided, I think the two-tone breaks it up and looks better overall. (It also sets the lariat apart from the XL,STX,XLT look) Just my opinion.

I have seen pics of the two-tone white combo and it is a sweet looking ride. Don't think the solid color would compare. I am bias though, I have a two-tone on order myself. True blue-n-Gray FX4

I have only seen one Two Tone in the flesh and have to agree that they look good.
I wanted a Toreador Red over Arizona to be as close a replacement as I could get to my Chestnut KR that I am part exing.
Trouble was my dealer here in South Texas has only been getting a few solid color Lariats, and if I ordered one to spec. I would probably be back in the UK by the time it came through.
So I took the decision to take an Arizona Lariat that came into stock on Friday.
I’m having a tonneau painted to match and will collect in the next couple of days.
I don’t like the large black mirrors however and will be inquiring about having them color coded..
I’m not too happy though that it has the moon roof…I would rather have the rails and overhead storage, especially as I will now be missing the huge storage bin between the rear seats, and the space behind the rear seats.
I’m consoling myself with the fact that the previous model will start a heavier depreciation rate now…already a dealer in Houston is offering 30% off ’03 F150’s, and older models like my ’01 will certainly take a hit.

Roll on the next KR edition !

I agree, the white two tone is the way to go, you made a good decision when you placed your order.

I just visited with a dealer that only had monotone lariats, and suggested I have the two tone added myself. Said that's how they used to do it on older vehicles because factory twotone was more expensive.

Anyone have thoughts on having the twotone added at a local paint shop?

I'm pretty sure that I will be ordering a Red two tone though, it really looks sharp, and I like red

Also, am I the only one that doesn't like the rail system? I don't see me ever using it so I decided to get the moonroof, not so much that I *really* want a moonroof, but I don't like the rails. It looks out of place unless you completely fill it up, and even then I believe there's a gap. Of course, someone will probably release some killer module and make me regret my decision...se la vie.

Well you asked for it. I don't like white and I don't like two tone anything. Just my opinion.

Thanks for the comments! I am glad I ordered the two-tone white/beige Screw Lariat 4x4. In Dallas all they had on the lots were monotone Lariats. They did have a black Screw Lariat 4x4 monotone which was AWESOME, but I worry about scratches and fading in the hot Texas sun over the years.
