Red face tie down hooks

looks like Ford finally realized some of us tie down things we must haul... I see if you want tie down hooks that work, then you must buy a flareside. Did you ever try to tie down anything after fully loading truck with those darn tie downs way down there at the bottom? Has anyone ever seen tie down hooks for the front and rear of bed? I just usually go to dealer and order 6 extra hooks and install them my self. When will they ever listen to us owners?
Please offer your thoughts on using the current tie downs.

I have a 99 XLT Scab styleside and added pop-up hooks in the top of the side rails within a month after buying it. I have hauled tons of things and they have been great. I think I have used the lower tie downs twice in 4 years. I personally don't care for the Flaresides.... Just my two cents worth.

The lower hooks are good for bungeeing small items to the side of the box so they dont roll around. I solved the problem of tiedown larger objects by getting a canopy. Another option if you don't want a canopy in the aftermarket bed rails.

Has anyone tried installing the Bull Ring Retractable Tie Downs in their 2004. I had some in my 02 F150, but the holes seem a little bigger in the 04 and the tie downs don't seem to fit quite as snug?https://www.f150online.com/galleries/mygallery.cfm?gnum=3294
