Where Is My Truck ?!...

This is of no concequence to anyone, but I just need to vent my frustration.

My truck arrived at the train yard on Tuesday, 9/16, which is less than 45 minutes from the dealer. Yet, they have no idea when it will actually be delivered to them... just said it's expected the week of the 17th. I just don't understand. I'd drive to the train yard and get it myself, if I could.

We are in a slightly different boat, railyard is 15 minutes from our house/dealer. Also, one of ways I go to work I drive right by it. However, when its at the rail yard it is the shipping company's vehicle. Pretty much had to watch my wife's 03 Expedition sit for a week before it got delieverd. Further, to add insult to injury, I was in the airport in Atlanta on the way to the left coast for a job when she called me it was delievered. So, it got to sit at the dealer two more days before we could pick it up.

But, I do feel your pain. Be thankful its built and made it this far.

Sad, but in this day of Unions and contracts, even if your a mile from the ramp you can't go get your vehicles. You'll have to wait the same amount of time for them to get it loaded and deliverd that dealers 5 hours from the ramp do.

I feel for you, for all the good that does ya!

This is one of the problems that we run into when there's too much information available. It just serves to highlight weaknesses in the system. Oh well.

Good luck on a quick delivery!

I guess all I can do is wait. It's just more frustrating knowing that the truck is just waiting on transport to the dealer than it is to know that it's not built.

Hey wingn8ive, so close but yet so far huh?!

yeah that sux...I feel your pain!....I just gave my dealer another call today just to make sure that nothing on mine had changed since last Friday....build date is still (week of) 09-29-03....but now its "locked in" whatever that means!....so I'll sit here a little bit longer and wait.....reminds me of the military!...hurry up and wait!....lol....

I been waiting since 5-13-03...so a few more weeks won't kill me...

I've been waiting since 5/13/03 also.I had a build date of 9/1/03. I talked to the dealer yesterday they gave me a vin# & a rail# said it was built and shipped on 9/16/03 They are confident it will be here next week. Locked in means that you can't make any changes on your order which is good because it's close to being built

I know you're tired of waiting, I told you that you would get the truck this week, but it is definitely worth the wait for the new 04..
