MyFord - Login Problems - Anyone else?

I have used the ford web site (https://myford.fordvehicles.com/serv...ord%3D15419550 ) with my sport trac for the past year or so online. However when I plug in my F150 Vin # I get the following error from ford:

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) you have entered belongs to a non-Ford Division vehicle. Please double-check your VIN and try again. If you currently own a Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda or Volvo please visit www.ownerconnection.com.

I have also tried a few other vin #'s i saw listed on the site.. same thing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Scott Fcasni

If you used that login strictly for the sport trac you might try making a new login for the F150 only. Or it's possible that their system doesn't recognize the new 04 vin's yet.

Give it Time

I had a similar problem with my Explorer a year ago. It took a while until the Ford computer system knew that the vehicle had been sold and was not still in dealer inventory. After about a week, I was able to add the Explorer VIN to the MyFord site.

I have noticed that the Ford Fleet site VIN decoder doesn't recognize some of the information on the 2004 F-150 VINs yet, specifically year and model. If the MyFord site is using this decoder software, it could be rejecting the VIN. It will probably work when Ford gets their software updated.
