13" disc brakes?

i swaer i remember reading somewhere that the new beast has 13" discs.

1) am i right, or insane? how big are they?
2) how does that compare to other stock disc brakes on pickups (last years model or other manufacturers)?

thanks.

I believe the front are 13" and the rear are 13.7". I will double check but I am pretty sure that is what I read in the brochure.

thanks for the link DaleF150. anyone know what size the brake discs are on the Silverado, Sierra, or Ram? I am just trying to compare but right now 13" sounds big to me. thanks.

Note sure of the huge part, but I saw a Super Cab on Friday in town parked most of the day in a bank employee (figures) lot.
The rear disks, showing behind the wheels looked a lot larger than the ones on my wifes Linc. LS, in fact they did look rather large, this is good because brakes are one thing I have dissapointed with on my 97 Supercab. Sometimes its just hard to get it to stop, I am looking forward to 4 wheel disks on the truck I have ordered !

yeah, the reason i asked was because with putting new wheels and tires, it changes the wheel weight. one of my customers is a brake manufacturer and he warned me that if i change the wheel weight i might have to upgrade my brakes to be able to stop the truck. but when i told him about 13" discs, he seemed to think that that is plenty no matter what size wheels and tires i put on. thanks for the info. and if anyone knows about the competitors brake disc size, please post.

You know I have noticed that, my 97 came with 17 but went to a 16 inch and a 295/75 BFG tires. It is harder to stop now, rides better, looks better, but doesn't stop nearly as well as it did with the 17s org. equipment. I am really looking forward to the new truck, I was like the first person in the world with a 97 when it came out, its killing me waiting for info on my Lariet build and delivery date.
