I just wanted to start this thread to say thank you to you guys especially. You guys have been a valuable source of information in a time when we are getting no where with our dealers. Primarily because they are getting no where with FoMoCo. Ford should learn that these places exist and get there communications act together.

BTW, I have now seen vehicles from both plants. Good Job Screwbuilder and LightningKid.

BTW, I just found out my XLT Screw has an ETA of Monday! I ordered it on 8/11 it was scheduled to be built 9/1 and is scheduled to be delivered the week of the 15th (Monday) I will post pics as soon as I can everyone. It is Black with chrome bumpers and chrome tubular running boards! Man, I just can't wait!!!!

 

Screwbuilder/LightningKid/XCR440SP get my thanks also. The information has been invaluable. I wish my dealer would give me VIN number but he has told me he cannot get the number until the vehicle arrives on a truck. Can this be possible? I have even told him about this website but still no VIN number. Here I wait patiently for my two-tone Supercrew Lariat.. arriving sometime in October I am told. Order #0001 from Pennisula Ford In San Bruno, California on August 11, 2003....

 

I would like to add my thanks as well!!! The information that I have gotten here has been VERY informative. The WELL written series by XCR on how the system works was absolutely GREAT, and the information by LightningKid and Screwbuilder has been excellent as well. It gives me an idea on how long I'll have to wait for my '04 Lariat SCrew and what to expect. This will be my 3rd 150 in 20 years, 1983 F150 (not even an XL, lol), 1996 XLT reg cab, and now an '04. FORD..... The ONLY Truck, grin. Thanks again guys.

 

I whined a lot about the 8 week hold from the build date on my truck and you guys probably kept me from cancelling. Great truck, poor CRM (Customer Relations Management, a whole new field of business consulting and software). Thanks again.
