Battlefield Ford in Mannasas, Va
Well I picked up my 2004 F150 FX4, https://www.f150online.com/galleries...w.cfm?num=4441
on August 27. I love the truck. Have a few bugs to have checked out, but overall, great truck.
The problem I had was with the dealer, Battlefield Ford in Manassas. The salesman I dealt with was a nice guy, seemed very knowledgable. But once I got home, I found out a little different. When I was looking at the truck, the salesman told me it had a 6 CD changer in it. I had no idea what the 6 CD changer should look like, and turns out there is only one button difference. Well when I got home and read the manual, I found out it was a single CD. That kind of pissed me off, and when I called the salesman, he just sayed: oh well, sorry. Then I took my truck in to have the "Full Environmental Package", which included Acid Rain Protection, Rust Proofing and Interior Protection. When I picked it up, the passenger side mirror had been hit by something or someone. While driving home at night, I noticed they cleaned half of the windshield, and couldn't see out the other side, looked like it was wiped with armor all or something. There were some spots on the seats. They told me they'd order me a new mirror, but haven't heard from them yet. Then they were supposed to get me new tags instead of transferring the old ones from the van I traded in, and they charged me for new ones. Now they can't change them, or they can but can only get them for 6 months, and I'd have to renew again.
I love the truck , but if I could I drive it back into their lot, give them the keys and go buy one somewhere else.
Battlefield Ford of Manassas will never get my service again.

At least there arent any bugs from the mechanical portion of the truck! Shenendoa Ford in Front Royal pissed me off too. You know, this is my first new truck and if im going to pay good money for a good truck, Im going to get what I want. They told me I couldnt get a moonroof for another couple months. They kept trying to push another truck on me and told me they couldnt even FIND the moonroof in the computer. Oh well, Ill just go somewhere else.
congrats rdotson. your truck is magnificent, even if the dealer isn't. you can drive down the street proudly. and if i see you, i will be honking and throwing a big thumbs up out the window of my volvo, but i doubt i will since i'm in california and you're in virginia...
