can anyone tell me if the fx4 has a manual 5 speed option. I find the electronic accelerator in these new automatics have a mind of their own. Plus the fact that if your into serious offroad automatics suck anyhow.

You cannot get a manual transmission on the 2004 F150.

Clarification: You cannot get a manual transmission initially on a new body style F-150. The Heritage 2004 model (current body style) is still availible with a manual trans.

As far as off-road and automatics, there are situations where one has its advantage over the other. I would not say that one clearly sucks vs. the other.

that is dissapointing, considering alot of folk still like feeling that they have control over shifting and acceleration.
