Angry Getting Frustrated with no build date . . .

. . . Ordered a 4x4 Lariat SCrew two tone with platform running boards and no moonroof on 7/28. Have yet to receive a build date and am getting a little frustrated. On the advice of the dealer who said I'd have it by the end of September I've already arranged to sell my wife's car on 9/20, give the wife my Land Rover, and I hoped to have my '04 by then. Well looks like I'll be driving my old beat up Ranger for a month or so and I'm not too happy about it.

I just drove the same truck you ordered. If you have to wait a little longer than expected it is worth it. Man, that truck was sweet!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck and be patient.

Don't panic. I think Ford greatly misjudged the demand for this truck. I order basically the same truck you did on 7/12 and found out from my dealer yesterday that it just got a VIN. I was promised 9/1 to 9/15. So there are a lot of us in the same boat.

Oh by the way. The way they are playing now I probably will live to reget these words this year but WAR EAGLE.

(My entire family are Bulldogs but I wanted to be an engineer more than I wanted to go to Georgia. So I became the red headed step child and went to Auburn.)

Looks like the boat is full of us 7/13 no VIN, no build date yet. Got it from a few sources that the two tone paint holds up the production a bit. I know how you feel man.

What is wrong with this picture

Ordered mine on June 30th and I have absolutely no info what so ever on it. Got to wonder what ford is doing when they build all these trucks for inventory but will not build the trucks that are already sold?

On a somewhat related note, I ordered my truck, a 2000 f150, on the last week of June in 1999. I didn't get a build date until September and it was delivered the first week of October. This was on a basically carryover model, no real changes from 99 to 00. It shouldn't be too much longer for you guys.
