Special Special Orders

So here's another question, how special can special order trucks get? I ask because I really don't like two-tone paint, but I love the Bright Red paint job (NOT the Toredor). But on a SCab Lariat the only way to get the Bright Red is with two-tone paint. The Toredor Red is available w/o two-tone, but I don't like that color as much. Just wanted to know if I could special order one in Bright Red w/o two tone or if i am left to make decisions? thanks.

just a guess on my part, but I'd say you probably won't be able to get bright red mono paind and you'd need to make a decision.

On www.forddirect.com on the Lariat Supercrew build menu when you select Bright Red it forces you to select the two-tone paint option.

Speaking of two-tone paint has anyone heard if they have started building the Supercrews with two-tone yet or are they still on hold?

Sorry no speical orders availble. Ford offers fleets speical paint options, but they require a large number of identical units going to a fleet.

Why these limitations...

Is there any logic behind limiting paint choices? I like the Wedgewood Blue but I don't personally care for the two tone paint scheme. Why force the two tone on only several colors?

Other idiot limitations may be more complex but this seems simple.

I believe it has to do with the available interior.
Trim lines have different interiors and some colors will clash
unless the second color is present to blend.

This would be the reasoning, (not agreeing with it, just providing an explanation).

I know how you feel.
Those available colors may very well send me over other side. That's right, just to get the color I want, I am seriously considering buying a

Drove one today. White/Tan Two Tone Screw. Unfortunately, that may be the truck that is keeping me from getting mine. Truck is great.
