My Order....

Ok, fellas. Ya'll might be tired of seeing everybody's orders, but I'm excited and I wanna share anyway!! I went an sat in an FX4 (the first one I've seen in person) last night and fell deeper in love!! I decided right then and there I couldn't wait any longer!

I called my dealer today and ordered:

Black FX4 SuperCrew
Monotone paint
Wheel and tire upgrade
Black sport leather captain's chairs w/ floor shifter
Audiophile
Power Driver's seat
Power Moon Roof
Deluxe Mirror Package
Trailer tow pkg
Reverse sensing sys.

Later I'm going to put the bright tubular running boards on...but I didn't want to delay the arrival of the whole truck, so I didn't go ahead and order them.

The only option I might possibly wish I had in the future is the power sliding rear window... what do you think??

yepper I ordered the power slider. It will make it easier to get beer cans into the bed....heheheheh j/k

My thought on the power slider is unless someone is in the back who can slide it open, I sure as heck ain't going to reach it.

Congrats on the order, you had better not get yours before me.

We have a scheduled build date of 9-1-2003 and we have a VIN #

You can get the bright tubular running boards through Ford accesories. We've got a set sitting outside the parts department (but still no truck to put them on). So I recomend getting them right away and having it done. Aftermarket boards are also starting to become available. My Luverne distributor called today and told me he had two styles in stock. Just check with your dealers parts department. They can have them ready for when the truck comes in.

Nice truck. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for it.

Thoughts on the power slider: I love mine. I had a manual slider on my supercab and power on my supercrew. I use the slider often as a great way to keep air moving, but quietly and with little turbulence to my wife's hair. It works great with the moonroof when you vent it for comfortable highway crusing/conversation. When she is not in the truck, I have all the windows open and you get so much air moving inside the cabin.

But it's still got to be better to spend the $250 (?) now and get it from the factory with warranty coverage. Hell, we're already spending $30K, what's a couple hundred more.

Get a sliding rear window even if you get the manual one. I use mine daily and love it.

Right, he already has almost every other option checked. It's only going to add a few $$ to the payment
