Audiofile

Does anyone know the details of the "Audiofile" option? I'm thinking that is upgraded speakers.
I'm studying a catalog, and want a regular cab. The Audiofile system is available in the STX and FX4, standard in Lariat. BUT NOT available in the XLT line????I was hoping to get a "luxury" regular cab with 2 wheel drive, and would like a really good sound system--go figure.

Not Standard on Lariat

I've been wondering about the specifics of the Audiophile myself. It's not, however standard on the Lariat, its a $400+ option. Anyway, I have a 2003 Expidition brochure which says that the Audiophile is a 340 watt system with 7 speakers including subwoofer. Anyone know if this is the same system for the F 150?

Re: Audiophile Sound System

Hey guys, this may NOT be the same, but we have a 2003 Focus Centennial (the wife's machine) and it has the Audiophile Option.

It consists of an upgraded speaker package, including a boxed Subwoofer (8" I think) There is also a 380 watt amp powering the whole deal.

It really kicks out the sound. The deck is a 6 disc IN-DASH model.

It's worth the extra $$$$$, I can hear the wife a mile away, and it looks neat, cause it's ALL factory.

When I test drove one the other day, I crancked up the radio (audiophile equiped) and it sounded awsome. For the people who like alot of bass, you might not think so, but its just right for me. Good news for me because I wont have to add any aftermarket stuff.
