X Plan Problem that turned out great!

Went by local dealership and they had a new 04 that I really liked. I told them I had my PIN for x plan. They said that Ford only allows x plan for family of employees or other designated companies (distributors, etc...). Well I was not happy but the sales manager said that I didn't need x plan....would go $500 below x plan. I asked to see all paperwork to make sure that he wasn't pulling my chain. He was telling me the truth. MSRP on this truck is $28,995 (Dark shadow grey, 3.73 Limited slip, sliding rear window, trailer tow, 35.7 gal tank) x plan is 25,747.67. He quoted me $25,336 AND is giving me $4,000 for my 12 year old Honda accord! Is this deal good or am I missing something??

Sounds like a good deal, but the dealer is wrong in the X plan definition, X plan is for Friends And Family, whoever the employee wants to give them to he/she can, you get something like 4 per year....

I need a x plan pin number. I will supply something of equal value to anyone who wants to give me one. Thanks

You don't NEED an X-Plan pin... you can probably negotiate an equivalent price yourself. If you deal to pay invoice, you already beat the X-Plan. X-Plan is usually within $50 or $100 of invoice, or thereabouts....

For my truck, the X-Plan price is $10 above invoice.

X Plan

I am a Dialmer-Chrylser employee and get employee pricing from DC. Last year I bought an 03 Explorer for the wife. The salesman told me that he would give me X plan pricing since I was a DC employee. My question is: How much of a discount should I expect via the X plan? On the Explorer the MSRP was a little over $29K and I got it for a little over $25K. I could have done better with a Durango, but I didn't want one. Did I do OK on the 03 Explorer XLT??? I think I would like to trade my 96 Ranger Supercab for an 04 F150 SCrew XLT or Lariat. Before trade, what will be a good price???
