SuperCrew Status and SuperCrew Orders!

I will be finally placing my order on Monday for a FX4 Supercrew. However every dealer has a different "guess" on when i will get it. Some dealers say 4 weeks, Some dealers say 4-6 and 2 said December\January.

For anyone that ordered a supercrew in the last 2-3 weeks what kind of build date did you get?

This will be very helpful!

Thanks,
Scott Fcasni

Oh yeah! It was pretty funny at the dealer today when I had to explain to the salesman the difference between the STX, FX4 and Lariat! He honestly has NO CLUE!

Screws

I would say 4-6 weeks. Where in the world did that salesman come up with Dec or Jan. There are several thousand built, just still shaking them down.

Thanks!

How much truth is to the fact that the Sunroofs and Running Boards will add an additional delay on the production of the S'Crews?

I was not at all fond of the running boards (all black) on the SuperCab FX4 that I drove. I think they looked cheap and ugly!

I ordered a FX4 the end of July. I have a build date of August the 25th. How long it will take to get it after it is built. Who knows?

My order was keyed into Ford on July 24th.

4x4 Screw Lariat
Two-Tone
Moonroof
Audophile
flow through console
no running boards
trailer tow pkg

Haven't heard anything since order confirmation and I just checked back today. No VIN assigned, no build date, no ETA on delivery.

Dealer said mid-December!

I'm in the same boat, Buster50. Ordered mine on 7/11 and have absolutely no information whatsoever. I'm gonna be pissed, and possibly cancel the order, if I have to wait till mid-December for this truck. That would not be acceptable.

Prestige Ford in Garland, TX shows a 2004 FX4 Supercrew in stock, DSG w/5.4L and looks fully loaded. Since he's the #1 Ford truck dealer in the nation, maybe he got one of the first ones off the line. I'll try to go by tonight and see if it's really there but thought you guys might want to know.

Orderd FX4 Screw in May!!!!!!

I orderd a black FX4 Supercrew with everything but leather & moonroof on MAY 13, 2003!!!! I've been given a build date of AUGUST 26, 2003. I was told to expect delivery of this truck 6 to 8 weeks after build date You would think that this truck should have been built by now

Well how about me ordering my XLT Supercrew at the end of June, and I don't have a build date yet?

I ordered mine the first week of july. I talked to dealer 08/16 and he said he didn't know status of my unit. I will wait until about the first of Sept. , and then see if I can press him for better info. I hope poster drmoore can find out some good info on screws when he visits Jerry's place in Garland.

I think they do anyway. My dealer said she was putting it as a priority "10." Sounds good. But I don't know what a priority "10" is. 10 could be low, average, high...How do I know. I don't know the priority scale.

I think that's what mine is, as well... regional order, priority 10, A-Plan.

Don't know how true, but I just spoke with my dealer and he said his general manager has been in contact with Ford regarding the hold up on SCrew's. Apparently, Ford said their supply is short for SCrew bodies. No mention of when this will be corrected, but hopefully soon.

Has anyone else heard anything?
