Where is the subwoofer positioned in the cab with the Audiophile system? I'm curious as to where they can hide this given the multiple interior configurations: front captain's chairs with center console vs. front bench, and Regular/Super/Crew configs. How many speakers are included total? I'm full of questions today.

 

How much extra do they charge for that "Audiophile" system?

I'll take my truck with a straight AM/FM stereo and have it yanked outta there within a few days of owning it to replace it with my OWN "audiophile" system.

 

it looks like its a plastic subwoofer box under the 60% portion of the 60/40 back seat (supercab and supercrew)

Thats just from looking in the service manual pictures

With rear captain's chairs it must be positioned under one or the other.

I have added high $$ custom systems to past vehicles but want to stay stock with a new '04. Something is very appealing to me right now about being totally stock, under warranty, and financing all options & accessories at the time of purchase. Top end factory audio systems have made enough progress in the last five years that they meet my requirements.

 

So how many speakers total does a supercab have? I know ive seen what may be a tweeter in the door of the fx4.

yes, but the sub box is shaped different.
