Interesting...They are going to offer the 5.5' box with the super cab. That will make it only 6.5" longer than the regular cab with 6.5' box.

I noticed the interior color options (according to the ordering guide) on the Lariat are tan and black. This is different from the media guide and in my book great news. Now make mine all black Lariat (w/chrome bumpers) and black leather interior!

Nice

From my experience black interiors show dirt worse than any other color. Especially up north in the winter with sand, gravel, brine and all the other stuff they spray on the roads. Constant battle with the black interior.

My tan lariat hides dirt much better, unless it is coal black field soil (which we have) or dirty oil/grease. But dust, clay dirt, brine dust, salt and gravel are not nearly as noticeable.

I have to clean the black interior three times as often as the tan.

Just my .2 cents

I have a tan cloth interior on my 2000 XLT and it does hide most dirt better than black. However I had the grey/silver leather in my 96 MarkVIII and it hid most dirt pretty well also. I had hoped for the grey/silver leather to be available on all of the Ford trucks also but it is not going to be.

From the availabiltiy of color options that will be offered, I bet the marketing genius who made the final color selections wears plaid pants with a striped shirt. His tie probably matches his socks. And his jacket has polkadots. I won't mention his oversized shoes and red nose.

Hey I agree, Black is dirty. But I will not buy any car/truck with a tan interior. Just my beef. I hate it. So for me Balck is good. I would prefer grey or darg gray though...

Grey would hide dirt better, but I still like black from my muscle car days, so I'm ok with it.

I have a 96 Van with Tan Leather and an 02 Screw with Grey Leather. The ability of the Leather to hide seems the same IMHO. The dirt seems to darken the leather slighly so you notice the normal wrinkles in the leather are a lighter color that the rest of the seat.

Saw one at the plant last week - Smoke Grey, FX4. VERY Nice proportions. Although I'm a fan of the Crew Cab, the increased cabin space of the Super Cab matched with the short/short box was very appealing - I may opt for a S/C over a C/C this time out!

I love this site...

You guys and your talent and knowledge is cool. Can't wait to print the guide out and show it to my dealership..... They say they have no info on it yet.

You all have a good weekend and be safe.
