No style in 2004

Is there going to be a flairside and styleside in 2004 or just the pictures that I have seen on this site. What ever that model that they are showing I think it has no style, just a truck like all the others.Everyone thought the flairsise was awesome when it came out, this truck does not do it for me in 2004.I will wait until I see it in person before I make my final judgement, but if it is anything like the pics,I may be driving a D&%$E,I don't believe Ford has the power and looks this time.Too bad.

PS > > Do they have anything that will keep up with D&%$E this year.

Everybody has an opinion. I think the 04 is GREAT looking.

If you get something other than a 04 150 It'll just make more available for me !

GO FOR IT !!

Thumbs up

Why the sudden troll fest lately?? It makes the site look bad, not the 04 I saw the 04 in person the other day, it makes the Dudge look sick by comparison. Wait a few months before you say it's ugly, it has a completely different feel in person. The dashboard is still bizarre however, I hope it only lasts one year, or gets changed before production.,,,,98

Everybody here must be afraid of change. I think that the 2004's look real good, on the outside and inside. Everybody claimed that the F150 did not look tough enough with the current style and that it was wimpy compared to others. Well, FORD finally done something about it. This truck is a mix between the F150 and the F250. Just like in 97, I tought that the current version was very ugly. When I brought my first F150 in 2000, I changed my mind and probably will own ford trucks for the rest of my life. From the pictures that I have seen, I love this new truck. As far as not having the looks and power, have you actually seen one or driven one. Then how do you know that it will not have the power and looks. All you have seen is from the photos. I have seen plenty of vehicles that have less horsepower but end up having more power than another engine. Just the engine size does not give any indication how much power the vehicle has. There are other factors that go into that also. Before anyone says anything, This is just my opinion.

To the original question of this thread. Check out this link, it will tell you about what you wanted to know

I too think the 04 F150 is a great looking truck.I was getting real sick of the old interior, the blah brown and grey interior did nothing for me anymore.Ford took care of that.Exterior has a new look that will probably grow on everyone,I've heard from several people that they look even better in person so I can't wait to see one myself.
My concerns with the new truck are to do with the engine and the increase in weight.
Yes the output has been increased but the numbers don't look that great when compared to the Dodge Hemi.
Is the truck going to perform any better than a 03 with the increase in weight of 500lbs??
What is fuel economy going to like???
If it's worse than the 03's then it's a definite negative.
Ford should have put more effort into weight reduction, not adding more blubber.
Overall a great truck on the outside but I'll have to wait to see if the drivetrain is worthy of the looks.

98 Screamer:
Sorry guys this is off the topic and a question for 98screamer. Screamer I was reading your post on headlights in another fourm and I got a quick question for ya. I saw that you have the 55w headlights and I wanted to get your opinion on them. I'm looking for a new set of bulbs and I want that nice white light with the slight blue tint like the luxary cars. I saw that you said in the other forum that the 80/100W bulbs are blinding for other drivers. Is this true? Do you think the 55W bulbs are best for F-150's? Also, what brand do you have? I'm looking to get them off ebay, what do you think a good price is for them? Thanks a lot.

geez, just wait a few months guys, or until you see it in person. as with any new design vehicle that you've been used to the old design for quite a few years, you need to get used to it. At 1st glance when i first saw pics of the 04 i thought it was hideous, by the next day i kinda liked it, and by that night i loved it. just gotta get used to it. and after seeing it in person at the philly auto show it looks really great! change is good. would you want ford to be like crappy chevy and dodge trucks, and also jeeps and have the same exact body style for 20 years? No way, that gets old real quick.

give it a chance, it'll grow on ya

and that interior is sweet!

Smile

Hmmm, I don't remember saying the 80/100w were blinding other drivers? I remember saying they could possibly burn up harnesses? I have 80/100w APC's right now, and paid about $32, it was the highest price I ever paid for any bulbs, aside from the Silverstars at $50? I had Eurolite 55/65 xenons bulbs before, but I had to buy them two pairs at a time cause they keep burning out every three months or so, lol. So far the APC's have lasted about 5 months. I changed them back in August or mid September. Stay away from the "cool blues", and "hyper whites" all they did for me was make a blue color I wouldn't spend over 45 for a set of bulbs. Good luck.,,,,98

Why not just drive over to Pep Boys and pick up a set of 80/100's?? They have all those bulbs there usually.,,,,98

Ebay is cheaper What do you think of Matrix's 80/100w bulbs? They say that they can stand up to PIAA. Thanks

Never heard of Matrix

I bought one style of Eurolites and they were fine, I bought another called plasmas, and the color crystallized and burned off. You just got to watch what you get. I would tend to believe that the PIAA's are better, but I've never used either so I wouldn't know. There are so many bulbs out now that it boggles the mind, good luck getting good ones.,,,,98

Thanks Screamer! One more thing, do you ever get flashed at by other drivers because they think your lights are too bright? I worry about the 80/100w bulbs blinding others, and I'm hearing a lot of bad stories of the 80/100's burning up the harnesses. What do you think?

Nope, no one really ever flashes their beams at me while I'm driving. I adjusted them just a touch lower though. Not really enough so you'd notice, but it cuts down on the flashers. I've been running the 80/100w's for about 5 months like I said earlier, and have not had trouble with harness melting yet. The only reason I got them to begin with, is because the color burned off of the Plasma 55/65's. They exchanged the bulbs, and the 80/100 APC's were all they had. To tell you the truth, I can't see any difference in output between either bulbs. Xenon 55/65, and 80/100's. ,,,,98

It doesn't mean your harnesses won't fry on you, some trucks do that, and some don't.
