I'm fixing up a 1997 f150 5.4 2v that used to belong to my grandad. I have to replace the truck's engine. I bought a 1999 5.4 2v with a build date of 1/26/99 and 130k miles. It came out of an Expedition. At the time I bought the engine, I had no idea there was a little difference between the engines. Being my 1997 5.4 is a non-PI, and the 1999 5.4 I bought is a PI. The 1999 engine still has the aluminum intake manifold and wiring harness. Will it be just a simple drop-in plug-and-play, or will it be more of a headache than if I had bought a 1997 or 1998 5.4 non-PI engines?
