ABS Wiring

I have a 98 4x4 XLT off road addition with the 5.4. The previous owner installed an aftermarket trailer break system and what I assume was an aftermarket alarm. Well shortly after purchase the alarm or whatever it was failed and caused a ton of electrical issues that were resolved after removal. My main problem now is I don't think my ABS is working. (I'm pretty sure its only rear wheel ABS like was typical with this generation) There were at least three wires that had been cut to ad the module, one of witch went to the break switch. What wire controls the ABS below the Steering column if any? Does the ABS work the same as modern ABS does?

Also as a secondary question. The keypad on the drivers door for the locks doesn't work. I would assume there is at least a chance it could be connected to the same faulty aftermarket module? Electrical is a major weak point of mine so any help would be appreciated!
