2000 F150 Cruise Control not Working.

Brake lights are all working, can't get Cruise light to flash for test mode, fuses are all good, don't know were else to go.

Replace the disconnect switch on the master cylinder on general principles, there was a recall on them. They leaked brake fluid and caused fires. If the recall was done, all Ford did was add a harness with an internal fuse which could be blown. The kit below replaces the switch and the harness.

Amazon Amazon

Are you sure ALL the brake lights are working, including the 3rd on the back of the cab?

Yeah, I replaced them not to long ago, however the reverse lights aren't working but I haven't had a chance to chase wires and find the issue there, I do need to change the left side abs sensor but I doubt it would prevent the self test to not work, the recall has been done but is there a way to replace the inline fuse?

No, the harness has to be replaced. If the fuse is blown the switch is shorted, get the kit.

If the self test won't initiate at all, it's not the SCDS switch on the master cylinder. If that switch was faulty, the self test would still run but would fail with an LFC of "3".

Here's the list of possibilities from the WSM. Actual troubleshooting with a plan and a meter is needed.

  • Speed control cable not attached to throttle.
  • CJB Fuse 5 (15A), and 13 (20A).
  • Circuitry.
  • Brake pedal position (BPP) switch.
  • CPP switch or jumper (if equipped).
  • Deactivator switch.
  • Speed control actuator switch.
  • PCM.
  • GEM.
  • Speed control servo.
