Replaced my Blend Door Actuator
Replaced my Blend Door Actuator
My 2002 blend door was stuck on heat. I removed the cover and checked to see if the actuator was turning. It wasn't. So, I ordered the Motorcraft motor from rockauto and replaced it. Boy, that is a pita for a 78 yr old having to lie on the floor and get all those hard to get to screws out and back in. But, I completed the replacement and the blend door now works. Those youtube videos are so helpful but none of them show you everything. To do the job you need 7mm, 8mm, and 10mm sockets with a 1/4" ratchet. I also needed a 8mm deep socket. To get the cover off, I used two crows feet upholstery tools to get those push pins out. A screwdriver wouldn't do the job.
