No crank no start

Hello I have a 2003 Ford F-150 it has a no crank no start every time I go to start when the key gets into the acc/on position the starter engages but it’s like it’s spitting it out and won’t stay engaged I’ve clean all connections and tried to jumper the car and put a brand new battery into anyone know what my problem is?
I’ve tried to jumper the starter dose nothing but spark

What do you mean by "spitting out"?

Do you mean there is backfiring or the engine wants to try to start?

Or is it like there is metal grinding/starter acting funny?

The starter shouldn't do anything in the ACC or ON position. Maybe the ignition switch is bad.

It’s how the starter sounds it literally sounds like it engaged but spits it out and won’t stay engaged. The starter engages for a split second.

Make sure the truck is in Park/Neutral, parking brake set, turn the key to on, go under truck with a screw driver and jump the starter. See if the truck starts.

Make absolutely sure the truck is in Park/Neutral and the parking brake set before doing this.

If the starter won't stay engaged, you need a new starter seems to me.

I just had mine fixed. No crank no start. Battery was good, the starter was good. The starter relay was good. I even bought another one just to be absolutely sure. No change. I disengaged the remote starter, nothing! When I turn on the ignition, everything lights up as should. After a day & half, I gave up, towed it to brakes plus. They said something about the PATS. Turned out the key chip was going bad. They bypassed the security system & was able to start it. They had it diagnosed in 45 minutes. $100 well spent. Luckily, I had another key. It works every time! I don't have to go the dealership and buy new keys and reprogram it!
I thought I share this cos it had me stressed beyond FUBAR!
