I want to make more power out of my ‘01 4.6 triton , can I put a mustang gt 2v Intake manifold on my triton 4.6 ????? What are some good ways to make power with my engine ????

 

Easiest way is simply a good programmer with a good set of custom tunes. I don't think an intake is worth it.

 

Any other ways besides that ?? How about engine & trans rebuild

 

If you are going to go that far drop a 5.4 into it.

 

What all would I be gaining for swapping to a 5.4 ?

 

An engine is an air pump basically. More displacement will pump more air. I think the 5.4 has the same size pistons with a half inch longer stroke. Probably 20% more power and torque. More power is obtained by pumping more air and fine tuning the engine. A programmer will fine tune the engine for a little more power. Changing the rear diff gear to a higher numerical ratio will put the power you have to the ground quicker.

 

Your 4.6 is 231 HP 293 torque. A 5.4 is 260 HP 350 torque.
