6 lug Conversion. Wheel Adapters. Will they Work?

My 1999 Ford F150.

I'm wanting to change my rims and tire but want to keep it look stock. I like the Harley and Lightening rims but those are hard to come by. Been thinking about getting some wheel adaptors and going with a 6 lug, 20 inch newer Ford rim.
Has anyone tried this? Will the adaptors work? Are they Safe? Any ideas?
Thanks

First off -- Nice truck!

It will work, but messing with offsets and geometry can make the truck handle odd.

I would also check and see what tires you'd need to run. You'd need low profiles on your 2wd likely for clearance.

I don't know of anyone who's done it. Generally speaking it's easier to get aftermarket 5 lug rims (American Racing for example) and go that route.
