I have Ford F-150 2WD XL (2000)
The friend of my Father bought this ford f-150 and bring it to Moscow from Canada , after this he sold it to my Father . And after my Father died , i get it from him . I have some problems with "pappers" , becouse in tech passport there is no Frame/chassis Number , and i cant find it on frame (maybe becouse of the rust) . But i need to show it in Police office to enable to sell it , according to "police rules" .
So i ask you , please tell me where i can find frame number , OR can you give official source or asnwer what there is no frame number on this vichle .

 

Do they not accept the VIN number, which is on a plate on the dashboard just inside the driver's side windshield, and is also on the sticker on the door jamb?

Nope , they need "Number on a steel" and if it frame vihicle , it must be on frame .

The VIN is stamped on the frame along the passenger side, toward the rear in most models. You'll typically find it in front of the rear passenger tire.

on that particular pickup, there is no VIN number on the frame, might be time for these folks to update the rules

 

Even a cursory reading of that reference clearly states it's for trucks that are now, on average, 50+ years old....
