On my 2001 F150 XLT Supercrew the passenger side front and rear window control as well as the driver side rear window control stopped working. All windows work from the master control. Installed new stereo and speakers 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. Rechecked the installation and found no problems. Checked panel fuses and tested under hood CB'S. No improvement. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

 

Check for loose or pinched wires. Also check your fuse boxes in accordance to the manual.

 

Thanks for the reply however I've gone over the entire system twice with no luck. I know I'm missing something, just can't find it.

 

Well after much deliberation I've discovered if you inadvertently hit the window lock the truck will give you a 'hold my beer' moment. Problem solved.

That was the very first thing I thought of - but I downloaded the owner's manual which doesn't reference a window lock that I could see!

 

glc is right, it's not in the manual, but it's only a feature on the SuperCrew. I verified it by looking at a bunch of ebay listings for trucks of that designation and that model year.

Looks like glc will need to make Ford make a 5th printing of the manual. LOL
