Window regulator hitting lock mechanism housing

I have a 2002 f150 screw. When I bought it, the front drivers window would roll down, it would make a loud popping noise, fall out of the tracks, and not roll back up. So I just dealt with it. Here I am 2 years down the line, and I ordered a new regulator/motor assembly. I installed everything, roll it down, hear a pop, BOOM. Same thing happens. So I shined a flashlight into the door to see what is going on. The window regulator arm is hitting the little square lock housing on the right side when it gets a little over halfway down. When it does, it pushed the regulator out smooth to bend the top rail, and slip the window out of the guide clips. I’ve been messing with it for about a day now trying to figure out what is wrong and how to fix it. To anyone with insight or who has dealt with this before, I’m all ears.
