Idle Rises when depressing clutch: Solution

I tried to find my old post re: this issue of the idle of my 4.2 2000 5spd rising when pushing the clutch in. This was an intermittent issue that became more prominent under lengthy loads such as 20mins of highway driving. In my orig. post there were many contributors with a variety of solutions. As kind as everyone was none of them were right and I wanted to post an update for anyone going through it.

Simple - replace the PCV valve and hose. In addition, I also changed the EGR as after I had a rising idle situation and I pulled in somewhere and shut down... Upon restart, the motor would bog.

I hope this helps someone dealing with the same stuff.
