CanBUS Control on 2003 f150
So I am just getting into more advanced diagnostic techniques on my trucks. I've decided to use my 03 as the sacrificial guinea pig. I have heard that you can use a computer through the OBD2 port to access the CanBUS to do things like shut off single injectors or turn on/off the fuel pump, etc.
My current electronic diagnostic tool selection consists of a DVOM, a Hantek 1008 scope, an OBD BOB, and an OBDLink MX+ Bluetooth (with ODBWiz and FORScan software). Can I do it with those, or do I need something else?
Yes... I realize that I can disable things like this by physically unplugging them. I am trying to find out how to do it through the computer.
I know it can be done on a newer vehicle with a Snapon scan tool....
Can it be done on an 03? Do I need different tools?
