The 2000 I used to have had 170k on it when I lost track of it with no trans issues. My current 2002 that I bought used with 69k miles on it now has 164k on it with no trans issues while I've owned it. I drive my trucks easy most of the time.

174+K miles. On a 4wd. Shifts normally. I recently pulled the pan and changed filter and fluid. Also drained the torque converter. Still had that little yellow plastic plug in the pan. Oh and its a 97 model.

My 2002 F150 Supercrew has the 4.6, truck is completely stock performance wise. I do have a few appearance mods, rolling on 22" wheels with 305/40 tires. It has 261k miles and still runs perfect no issues, I do step on it every once in a while and it does burnouts without hesitating.

mine went 165k before the seal on the forward clutch piston rolled up and started hanging up. I rebuilt with some "mods" .....other than the filter coming loose (yeah ....MY LUCK) a week later....it has been perfect ...at 280k NOW

As a volunteer firefighter and framing carpenter who lives on a mud filled ranch, I drive my truck (03 F150 5.4 4x4, 4r70w all stock) HARD. My tool trailer weighs just over 10k and I pull it every day. I respond to an average of 350 fire calls a year, and drive like a cop does a patrol car. Generally, on the road, I drive... probably faster than I should.

At 325,000, the front seal blew on the transmission.... But that probably had more to do with reinstalling the engine after a rebuild (first rebuild at 320K) and having to stab the thing 4 times to get it lined up. No other problems than that. We put a new seal in it and it's currently sitting just under 350k...

My 2000 has 185k miles currently and still shifts smoothly. Has a small flatbed with an air compressor and tool boxes on it.

2001 f150

2001 f150 xl 4x4 lifted 307,103 all original. Was starting to have some hesitation taking off from a stop did this for a couple weeks then just suddenly went back to acting like it should. Shifts smooth no jerking , hesitation, slipping nothing. I love my truck and hopefully will be able to get a few more thousand miles out of her before replacing anything major.

300,000 on my 99 4.6W with 4R70W transmission. Runs like new, no major repairs to engine or transmission. I think this one could go to 500,000. No smoke, shifts smooth as silk. I just did the timing chain and oil pump for the first time this weekend as a precaution.
