1997 F150 4.6l engine swap to 2005 4.6l out of Mercury Grand marques

I have a 1997 F150 with the Romeo 4.6L and I am swapping the motor out with a PI motor from a 2005 mercury grand marques. I have a PI intake I purchased from Ford Racing that is drilled for the two coolant temp sensors but my throttle body will not mount to the PI intake also the fuel rails mount totally different than those on the non PI intake. Does any one know if they make an adaptor to be able to mount the non PI throttle body to the PI Intake?

There were a lot of changes made passed 2004 in the Two valve 4.6 engines and equipage.
Fuel rails, unseen/unknown fuel metering changes in the fuel rails, intake manifolds etc.
The last Two valve 4.6 was in 2009. We have an 09 F150 single cab long bed with the 4.6 two valve.
You can't depend on interchangeability over this span of years on mixing and matching of parts and between vehicle models.
I happen to know about the fuel system changes due to an intake change on our Road race Mustang competition engine build.
We use a later plastic intake and after market throttle body/manifold combination plus dyno tuning had uncovered the difference in Fuel rail design and flow. that was corrected to get enough flow for the power being generated. On a stock motor, one very likely would not run into that issue.
I can't offer any hard advice on parts because we did not have to scrounge for any, but use known parts for our race motor.
The problem with the 4.6L despite how long it's been around is the aftermarket parts were not developed in enough by vendors.
Example; Ford only offers to this day, one intake that is the best they have to offer and were up against that one for airflow but still makes 400 at the flywheel with it.
There are at least two other after market intakes that flow more but are pricey.
Good luck.
