Does anyone know of somewhere to get this ridiculous part that sits on top of a spring underneath the shifting fork rod? Apparently I’ve been told they don’t manufacture them anymore! And I really do t want to go drop a whole transmission out of a junkyard for this part!

it goes on a 98’ f150.4x2, 4.2. M5R2.



This is the part I’m looking for! Or is there a replacement I can use instead?

 

If you can get the Ford part no., google the part number and see what if anything comes up.

 

Thats a problem, I can’t even find out what the dang thing is called!

For part # 77: D2TZ-7234-C -- Spring - Detent or Spring - Shift Lock Detent
