4.2 to 4.6 engine conversion

4.2 to 4.6 engine conversion

So I need some help I have a 2002 ford f150 4.2 5speed manual and it has some pretty high miles and I don't want to get rid of the truck im wanting to swap the 4.2 for a 4.6 and I don't really know what I'd need ive heard that the 4.2 and the 4.6 use the same trans just different bell housing some one please help just need some advice on what the requirements are to simply get the job done

You would need at the very least a wiring harness, PCM, and a transmission, bell housing is not removable. Just keep the 4.2 running.
