4r70w Automatic Transmission

I have a 2001 ford f150 supercrew 5.4l 4x4 with the 4r70w Automatic Transmission.

I received all the maintenance records from the Original Owner when I purchased the truck.
The last transmission service as about 8000 miles ago. I called the Transmission Service Shop that did the work to find out what transmission fluid they used.
On the Service Order it reads: "Synthetic ATF SP324".
The owner of the shop said that "Synthetic ATF SP324" is a Universal Synthetic Transmission Fluid sold by: Service-Pro and That it can be used in many transmissions.

I have Not towed with this truck yet and it seems to shift fine when driving the truck around town and on the highway.
I Am Planning to tow a bumper pull trailer that weighs around 3500lbs, the distance of about 2200 miles here in a couple weeks.

I have some fear about the Current ATF in the truck and along with our 4r70w to be known to be troublesome (from what I have read on Ford F150 Forums) I am thinking of changing the ATF before this tow.

With all this in mind..... What Brand ATF do you all recommend? (I know it requires Mercon V)
Is all Mercon V fluids the same, just as well made, no matter the Brand?

Price Wise the Walmart brand Super Tech is the least expensive. Is: Supertech Mercon V just as good as a more expensive Brand of Mercon V?
(I want to do what ATF is Best for this Not well talked about Transmission)

Thank You

Service-Pro doesn't give part numbers on their site. Here is what they have, along with Mercon V compatibility:

Global Full Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF YES
Multi-Purpose ATF NO
Multi-Vehicle Syn Blend ATF YES
Mercon V* YES
Full Synthetic ATF* YES
Full Syn SAE 50 Manual Transmission* NO
Dex VI* NO

https://service-pro.com/products/lubricants/

If it's any one of those that says YES, I'd leave it alone.

Now, if cost is no object and you want the BEST transmission fluid out there, get this:

https://www.amsoil.com/p/signature-s...ion-fluid-atf/

That's going to cost a pretty penny, you would need about 14 quarts with a torque converter drain.

On the phone today the owner said they use "Universal Synthetic" ATF Fluid on ford f150, sold to them by: Service-Pro.
* He Actually said "Serve Pro" on the phone but I could not find a Serve Pro anywhere online.

On the Service Bill it reads: "Synthetic ATF SP324"

**Is the Super Tech Mercon V from Walmart just as good as any other Mercon V?

I don't know, but it's not full synthetic. I wouldn't drop synthetic that meets specs with only 8k on it for something that isn't.

Click my link for the Service-Pro website.

I had Thought that I had read (somewhere) that "All Mercon V is Synthetic"?. Apparently me interpretation was off, not a surprise there though lol.

I will Trust that the correct ATF was installed in this trucks transmission.
