97’ f150 not going over 40

I have 97 f150 and it isn’t going over 40 I took it and really pushed it checked under the truck and my cats were glowing red, unclogged them and tried again and still nothing any advice on what I can do?

Check the codes of course. Check the fuel pressure. The local chain auto parts stores may have a gauge you can borrow with a deposit.
The cats glowing red may mean a rich condition which may mean leaking fuel injectors. Get the Oxygen sensors readings checked.

didn’t necessarily unclog them we just swapped them with two we pulled off another truck just like mine

Did you check for other exhaust restrictions "downstream" of the converters?
