2003 ford thunder
2003 ford thunder
I bought a wrecked 2003 ford lightning that was totaled, swapped everything over to a 2003 ford extcab f150, engine, transmission, rear end, all suspension, brakes, ecm wiring harness, gauge cluster and harness, fuel pump ect. now its all together it will run and idle but will bog and sometimes die when trying to move or in park... any thoughts thanks in advance
You now have to use a Scanner to look at operating data to see if there is a clue to what's missing.
Obviously it's fuel, but why.
Is it low fuel pressure, Mass Air signal issue, TPS, IAC, MAP etc.
Super charging is a different ball game for sensors and how the system works in the presence of positive intake manifold pressures..
You got this far, now keep going and learn for the future so it's not all lost because you have to become the expert on your vehicle.
Guessing is not the way and we cannot tell what you did or about any mistakes or issue until you un cover something.
If you have a specific question, I have Ford data on your power option that might be useful once you find something to run with....
Been there before retrofitting a 73 302 to FI, super charging, 90 and 93 and 94 Ligntining 5l to positive displacement and centrifical super charging.
Good luck..

This sounds like a fun project! Sounds like you are hitting the last pieces!
Yes, a scanner can help you figure things out. It might be something simple as a loose or damaged connector or wire.
Do you have pics?
