2001 Ford F-150 xlt bolt patterns

I have a 2001 Ford F-150 xlt 5.4l I know my bolt pattern is 5x135 but my question is will 5x5.5 fit on my truck I keep finding yes and no answers

No, not without adapters. 5.5" is 139.7 mm.

I'm not going to say yes or no but many rim manufacturers will say yes. You have to use the proper tapered lug nuts though and they have to be properly used.

no.... unless they are the "multi-bolt pattern" wheels which can be used with the PROPER lug nuts (ie...think NOT FORD LUG NUTS) where you would then be using a "lug-centric" method of wheel centering. FORD (might be dependant on trim level here) Lariat 17" 5 lug aluminum wheels are HUB-CENTRIC and use a 14mm FLAT washered lug nut.
