pcm wiring diagram
hey I'm looking for a pcm wiring diagram for a 4.6 2wd. I'm swapping in a 05 crown vic police interceptor engine and want to retain the vic's pcm but the trucks body harness. if anyone has a link to a diagram I'd much appreciate it. thanks in advance
What year is your truck?
You do know that the 05 engine has an electronic throttle body, not a cable like yours? Rather than rewire the truck for a different PCM, I'd keep the truck PCM and get a programmer and custom tunes.

its a 2002, I've got the pedal and whole harness from the crown vic. If I had access to someone who could transfer the p71 tune over it'd be great, but I'm also trying to keep the intake manifold it has a lot better airflow.
The 05 PCM system is totally different than the earlier systems up to 03.
Not only is there throttle by wire but the whole communications between subsystems is different. This was all changed in 04 on up.
Depending on what year truck, you won't have all the proper dash feeds if an 05 PCM is used.
Not saying it could not be done but if your a newbee with this , it's going to be difficult to work it all out just to have that 05 motor.
The 05 may be lacking some low end torque for truck application that a car does not favor.
The 05 uses a single feed fuel system with a control module plus other things you will run into...
Better rethink this project to be sure it's worth all the hassle.
Good luck.
