ECU swap help

I have a 2000 ford f-150 XLT with a 4.6 would I be able to use the Pcm off of a 1998 ford f-150 with a 5.4 both trucks have trtions

No, it will not. You need a 99-03 with either V-8 and 4R70W transmission.

ok another question a friend of mine said you can bypass the pats system with a resistor is this true?
