Rough idle with no Service Engine Soon light

I have a 2003 Ford F-150 Lariat. It’s a 4.6 powered truck with 2WD. It has 108,000 miles on it. Recently I got a check engine light and a rough idle, and I used a scanner to see what was going on. It said that the Intake Air Temperature sensor needed to be replaced and that banks 1 and 2 were running lean. Anyways, I replaced the IAT, the fuel filter, and the PCV valve. I did all that and the light went away. It still idles rough. It does fine while driving though. There is now a C1284 code and a P1000 code. Can anyone help me out here?

The P1000 simply means that all monitored sensors have not achieved readiness.

I'd suggest you disconnect the battery for 20 minutes or so to clear out the computer and allow the idle to relearn.

I agree with glc. disconnection of the battery will reset the keep alive memory in the pcm and reset the truck's fuel trims to 0. My suspicion is a dirty MAF sensor. Take it out and blast it with some electronics cleaner.
