Shorty headers are no better than stock manifolds, I wouldn't spend good money on them.

If there absolutely no good then why do people buy them? Secondly, Are you extremely experienced in installing long tube headers on a 97-2003 f150 4.6 V8?
If so, what is the deal with installation regarding cat converters,and working around a true dual exhaust system?

Good Shorties are a improvement over stock....just fairly minimal improvement. and more noise

The cast manifolds come with their own issues too. Sloppy machining, not flat, poor cast quality that crack easily....etc. SO...weather you go with cast or shorties....quality is key.

THEY BUY THEM because they refuse to listen to the reasons why the short Hedders are of little help for improving low speed torque in a 'truck' application.
You keep asking the same thing from a 'fixed' mind.
The video said there would be little gain over stock Hedders. Did you miss that?
What will it take to convince you when you keep getting the same answer?
Put them on and satisfy yourself one way or another.
A real life example to offer;
We run a road race 98 Mustang 4.6L 6 Speed manual 3.73 geared at 400 crank HP..
The motor is custom cammed for broad torque output rather than peak horse power.
Will turn 7000 but we have....Mid length Hedders... for the broad torque application since low end is not an issue in this application. It's not a Drag car.
You have to include some science in your thinking.
