I have a 97 f150 4.6 and as you all have probably seen my several threads about the rattles, ticking, and knocking it makes, and i just said **** it and im going to pick up a motor sunday, is there anything i should know or tips before doing so, im swapping it out with the same 4.6 motor

 

Make sure it's out of a 1997-2000 F150. Anything else will require you to reuse some of your old parts.

 

Yep, like glc said, try to stick with the similar or better yet, the same model year. Just makes it a whole lot easier.
