Slip yoke after trans swap

did a trans swap on my 00 f150. Factory slip yoke was to long with the reman 4r70w. Is it ok to cut the slip yoke to fit or should I go about finding a brand new one that fits?

You could probably get away with cutting it.

No different than a PTO shaft on a tractor.

Just make sure there is enough meat for the splines.
