So i have no idea whats wrong but every now and then when i start my truck it sounds like my hazards are on but going much slower. The back light for my radio, milage, and back light for my speed/rpm/ect flashes it also causes my hazards to slowly flash if my lights are not on. And when i try to turn my truck off even when the key is pulled out and its in park it will continue to run for several mins before eventually dying. What is wrong with my truck?
Sounds like your GEM module got wet or it's failing. Common problem.
Replacing the GEM is a bit of a pain in the neck but not terribly bad.
If there is any possibility that the windshield leaks make sure you get that resealed first.
You don't want to kill a second GEM.
The GEM module is under the dash, drivers side. Fuse box is attached to it.
Look on YouTube, there are tons of videos on how to remove it and replace it.

Would that cause the truck to keep running even when the ignition is switched off and you pull the key out? Because i did have some rust issues on my roof that leaked water in to my cup holders only thing damaged was my temp/direct thing on the roof
The signs are pointing to the GEM. All it takes is a little bit of water for it to short out.
I would get your rust and your windshield fixed before more stuff starts popping or you have a fire.

The GEM cannot cause the symptom with the engine continuing to run. However, the fuse box under the dash, if water-logged, can cause it. Could easily be that both are damaged plus there may be a bad ground. Since it doesn't cost any money for parts to check the grounds, pull the kick panels on both sides and inspect them for corrosion or loose connections. Start on the driver's side.
