AC Compressor

I have a 2002 Ford F150, im having to remove the ac compressor it has started putting off a burning smell, i cant find any videos on how to remove it, if anyone has a video id appreciate it.

I assume you are going to replace it? If not, you are going to need a bypass pulley kit. By law, the system has to be evacuated and the refrigerant recycled.

Check for a failing clutch and pulley first. Lot cheaper and easier than swapping the whole compressor.

AC Compressors don't go bad unless you have a leak in the system, or it was over charged. The first thing that goes is the clutch. You can easily buy a clutch kit off ebay, and install it yourself. The hardest thing to do is set the clutch on it. I recommend the thickness of a business card. I've rebuilt a fair share of them in the past 5 years for people.

Is there a way to force the compressor pulley to turn? Whether it works or not?]

Yes, just tighten the clutch snug with the face. It will act as if the system called for it without electricity.

After testing, you'll need to readjust the clutch to about business card thickness away.

Is there a way to force the compressor pulley to turn?
The pulley should be turning any time the engine is running since it's driven by the serpentine belt.
